BBCHS Bowling Loses Against Lincoln-Way West

By Don Collins

KANKAKEE, Illinois -- The Bradley-Bourbonnais High School bowling team lost to Lincoln-Way West on Thursday (Nov. 15) by a final score of 2128-1914.The Boilers record fell to 1-1 on the young season.

The Boilers first match was a victory for West despite a strong showing by Gage Campbell who led all 10 varsity bowlers with a 242 through the first game. Matt Marzke was second for the Boilers with a 225.  At the end of the initial ten frames, BBCHS trailed 1057-997.

The second game started with a substitution as Dakota Hamende made his regular season debut, subbing for Gerry Glunz. The Boilermakers could not make up the deficit despite a strong finish from Adam Weedon, who collected three consecutive strikes to end his night with a 207 (405 overall score).

TRUSTING THE PROCESS

The sentiment after the results on Thursday was the same after last Thursday’s match. It’s all a part of the process and Coach Nanos has the team ready to get back to the grind of improving from here.

“It’s a great learning experience for them,” Nanos said. “We can get back into practice tomorrow. Every game is a new game, just stay with it. I think we’ll be fine.”
