Boys Soccer Picks Up Win Over Thornton

BRADLEY, Illinois - The Bradley-Bourbonnais High School boys varsity soccer team defeated Thornton on Tuesday (Oct. 2). The win inches the Boilermakers closer to winning the SWSC Red Division.


The scoring was kicked off by Thornton who took a 1-0 lead on a goal scored with 17 minutes left in the first half. That would be all the scoring for the entirety of the half as the Boilers trailed by one heading into the break.


The second half saw the Boilermakers score a goal by D’angelo Alvarado with 30 minutes left from an assist by Reid Vandenhout to tie the game at 1-1.


Less than five minutes later, Tyler Schiltz scored a goal to take the lead and this would represent the final score of 2-1.
