BBCHS Tennis Defeats Lockport

BRADLEY, Illinois - The Bradley-Bourbonnais High School varsity tennis team defeated Lockport on Thursday, Sept. 27 by a final score of 6-1.


The Boilermakers picked up a much welcomed victory over Lockport. Number one singles player, Izzy Fritz, had a particularly eventful afternoon. After winning the first set 6-3, she was down 4-1 in the second set. After gathering her focus, she would go on to win five games in a row to win the second set 6-4.



  • No. 1 — Izzy Fritz (BBCHS) def. Patricia Misczcak, 6-3, 6-4.
  • No. 2 — Meagan Paramo def. Harley Ondo (BBCHS), 6-1, 6-0.
  • No. 3 — Brooke Drury def. Mary Henderson (BBCHS), 6-4, 6-3.



  • No. 1 — Myra Zaheer-Mia Schwada (BBCHS) def. Caitlin Osei-Mia Jenczmionka, 7-5, 7-5.
  •  No. 2 — Paulina Pawlikowski-Sara Styrezula def. Paulyn Bernadit-Paige McElroy (BBCHS) 1-6, 6-4, 13-11.
  •  No. 3 — Maria Sosa-Sydney Goering (BBCHS) def. Sarah Moore-Olivia Moore, 6-1, 6-1;
  • No. 4 — Marissa Minyard-Madi Studdard (BBCHS) def. Fiona Burke-Korryn Swedko, 6-2, 6-0;



  • BBCHS will be back in action on Thursday (Oct. 4)  when they compete in the Southwest Suburban Conference meet. The first part of the tournament will begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday and will continue on Saturday (Oct. 6) beginning at 9 a.m. The competition will take place at Lincoln-Way West.
