Art Club is a fun club to join even if you don't have any artistic ability! We meet once a month for an art club workshop that anyone can do! Meetings will be posted in the daily announcements and in Google classroom. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The BBCHS Best Buddies Chapter is one of the largest in the state! Best Buddies is an organization that focuses on inclusion and acceptance of all individuals. Best Buddies pairs students with disabilities with their peers to create meaningful friendships and memories. We have a variety of activities throughout the year including a talent show, Best Buddies Prom, movie nights, bowling parties, etc.

The Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School Chess Team competes every week against other SWSC chess teams. In addition, the team plays in Saturday tournaments about once a month and the IHSA State Chess tournament in February. BBCHS CHESS Eligibility Requirements: All BBCHS students are eligible to join. No prior knowledge of chess is required, just an open mind and a willingness to learn the game. There is a $10 fee to join.

Boiler Brigade is the eSports team at BBCHS. We are turning the activity of video games from sitting in a room by ourselves into a communicative and positive atmosphere where teamwork is necessary to succeed. We play Smash, Mario Kart, and Rocket League and compete from January to April with practices being held weekly.

Ironclad works to advance high school students’ skill sets in science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). Ironclad is composed of unique and diverse students harboring a passion for STEAM that will be able to compete successfully at competitions while gaining valuable experience and skills that will last for a lifetime.

The Natural Helpers program provides training to students who have been identified as “listeners” by their peers and school staff. Natural Helpers are trained with helping and listening skills so that they may connect vulnerable peers to trusted adults and other appropriate resources.

Students continue to cultivate their robust social networks to implement service projects that aim to support connection with their peers during these times of isolation, and that provide resources to promote mental wellbeing.

Do you like trivia? Have you ever thought you would make a killing on Jeopardy? Do you have a bunch of random information floating around in your brain, waiting to be put to good use? Then you’re in luck!

Scholastic Bowl, also known as Quiz Bowl and Academic Bowl, is a competition trivia team. We compete in a lot of meets around the area between November and March. We rely on individual knowledge and teamwork to answer a variety of questions over topics such as History, Geography, Science, Math, Literature, Art, Music, Sports, and Miscellaneous.

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education, which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy. Tri-M is the only music honor society for junior/middle school and high school students in the country.

Illinois Youth & Government is a YMCA program that teaches high school students about government and the process through which bills become laws. Simply stated, Y&G is a mock legislature that culminates in a trip to Springfield where bills are presented and voted on by representatives in the actual State Senate.
