CTE: Invest in Your Future - The Career and Technical Education department offers courses in business, technology, and family and consumer sciences. Through a wide variety of class offerings students have a wide variety of opportunities to advance their personal, educational, and occupational goals. Whatever a student's post-graduation path is, classes in Career and Technical Education enhance a student's high school curriculum by combining challenging, yet practical activities, that help to insure success in high school, college, the work place, and their personal lives.
What Career and Technical Education courses do for students:
- Develop life skills necessary for economic success
- Provide information technology skills
- Encourage creativity and entrepreneurial thinking
- Develop skills for successful family life
- Attain marketable skills and habits
- Establish a foundation for related careers that require further training or advanced education
