Native American Indian Heritage Month
November 1 marks the first day of National Native American Indian Heritage Month. Within our student population, less than 1% of our students identify as Native American Indian or Alaska Native. However, through our equity work it has become increasingly important to educate our students with different and unique perspectives. We are sharing a handful of resources that are helpful in understanding this month and what it means to this community. We encourage you to take the time to read over these as well as do your own research as a way to educate yourself with the history of these individuals and their culture.
