BBCHS is a comprehensive suburban high school with an enrollment of approximately 1,800 students, located 60 miles south of Chicago. Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School celebrates more than 70 years of excellence serving the 30,000 community members of Bradley, Bourbonnais, and St. George. Currently, BBCHS’ 1,800 students can participate in 120 rigorous academic courses, 27 competitive athletic teams, and 30 extracurricular clubs and activities.

School facilities include 96 classrooms, three gymnasiums, an Olympic-sized pool, a state-of-the-art weight room and fitness center, a community center, a 600-seat theater, and 1:1 Google chromebook laptops.

Academically, Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School takes great pride in its nationally recognized Advanced Placement courses that placed BBCHS on the 9th Annual AP District Honor Roll. This past school year (2025-2026), we just received the silver category recognition for AP Honor Roll. This honor places us in the top 15% of high schools in Illinois. We also had the best AP scores on exams that we have ever seen at BBCHS! Additionally, a variety of classes such as culinary arts, foreign policy, chemistry, career exploration, business, digital photography, foreign languages, economics, calculus, and athletic performance training foster academic success and enjoyment. The school’s comprehensive fine arts program cultivates students’ interest in music and art and has brought BBCHS great recognition as the Class AA State Music Champions.

Two of our students, Calvin Kohl and Derek Otero Rivera were invited to travel to Washington D.C. this year to learn more about and advocate for the Special Olympics! Several of our athletes also were chosen to represent Team Illinois in the USA Special Olympics Games in Minnesota, where they earned Silver!

High school students at BBCHS enjoy academics, athletics, and activities. More than 900 of BBCHS’ students are athletes. Sixty competitive teams in 27 sports have brought the school honor by capturing SWSC conference titles and numerous IHSA athletic event titles in an array of sports.

In the 2025-2026 school year, our co-ed Cheer team placed 2nd in the State with a record-breaking final performance and finish! Our Dance team advanced to Day 2 of the IHSA State Finals and finished in 12th place among all dance teams in Illinois! Boys Track & Field closed out the year on a great note. Our 4x100m Relay took 8th place in the State Finals and ran a school record in the preliminary round, along with our 4x200m Relay also setting a school record in the preliminary round and taking 7th place! LyZale Edmon earned 3 medals in both relay teams and the 200m dash where he earned 5th place!

Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School is proud of its tradition of excellence and continually strives to provide the best possible education to meet each individual student’s needs, interests, and abilities.
