Parent feedback is something we value greatly at BBCHS. Not only is it insightful information for us, but it guides our decision-making and thought processes throughout the school year. We are asking for your thoughts and opinions. Below you will find a link to a survey from the University of Chicago called the 5 Essentials. 

The Illinois 5Essentials Survey provides a comprehensive picture of a school’s organizational culture in an individualized report measuring five “essentials” critical for school success:

• Collaborative Teachers
• Effective Leaders
• Involved Families
• Supportive Environment
• Ambitious Instruction

Last year, we were able to hit the parent threshold in order to receive the results. The new texting option from the district is an action in response to last year’s data. We are excited to do the same this year in order to continue to move forward as a district.

This survey will take approximately 10 minutes. For providing your feedback, we wanted to find a way to say thank you for your time. We will be offering three raffle prizes: two BBCHS Athletics gear baskets, and one $100 Visa GiftCard. 

How to Enter:

• Take the Parent 5 Essentials survey using the link above. 
• Screenshot or take a photo of your final completion screen of the survey.
• Email the photo with your name to 5Essentials@bbchs.org 
• We will draw the raffle and contact the winners on April 3!

This research-based tool is used statewide in partnership with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) to provide continuous school improvement to families, students, and staff. We are excited to receive your feedback, share with you what we learn, and the plan to implement from the results.
