Summer Academics


Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School is proud once again to offer the summer academic program called "A Step Ahead" to help students reach their educational goals. The program is two-fold and offers students course work for advancement and credit recovery.  The program is divided into two sessions that correlate with the semesters of an academic year.  All classes are filled on a first come first serve basis.  Please contact Mr. Guerin at (815) 937-3707 ext. 6018 with questions regarding summer academic programs. Registration is open to all BBCHS students beginning February 6th and non-BBCHS students on April 17th.  Registration forms and brochures are available in the BBCHS Counseling Office, the Student Affairs Office and here on the BBCHS Website.


Session I

Week 1: June 5-9
Week 2: June 12-16
Week 3: June 19-23

All students must be in attendance for the final exam on June 23rd, please refer to attendance policy in brochure

Session II

Week 1: June 26- June 30
Week 2: July 3-10
Week 3: July 11-17

All students must be in attendance for the final exam on July 17th, please refer to attendance policy in brochure

​Fast Forward Program (Invitation Only)

The BBCHS Fast Forward program is a three-week summer program designed to help incoming Freshmen increase core subject skills, improve study habits, and establish relationships in a more relaxed atmosphere. Invitation to the program is based on eighth grade MAP, Discovery-ED and recommendations from feeder districts. 

Our Fast Forward program is a proven success!

Students who participate

  • Average a .34 higher GPA​
  • Average a 3.4% higher daily attendance
  • Average less than one referral
  • Are 13% more likely to participate in a sport or activity
