PRINCIPAL'S COMMENT

As Principal of Bradley-Bourbonnais High School, I invite you to come and visit one of the finest secondary schools in Illinois. Our enrollment has continued to rise over the past five years, and we currently are a school of 2,150 students. In conjunction with growth of our student body, we have just completed a tenth addition to our school that has modernized an older facility. We encourage our alumni to come and visit our campus. The changes are amazing to say the least,

The new additions included three new spacious art rooms, three new computer labs, three new business labs, a large physical education space, four new science rooms and two new math rooms. The excitement at BBCHS is at an all time high. The new space is only part of a facility that contains a community center, a natatorium, auditorium and senior citizen center. Here the multifaceted arts and sports programs are showcased simultaneously with senior citizens and swim classes.

Our students continue to perform at a high level. Our seniors have received over a million dollars in scholarship offers every year for the past five years. They have received acceptance letters from the top colleges and universities in the country. Our curriculum consists of over 120 courses that are available to our students plus 17 courses that are available at the Kankakee Area Career Center. Dual Credit courses are available through Kankakee Community College. The wide range of course offerings is designed so we can provide an opportunity for every student to get the best education possible in accordance with each student’s needs, interests, and abilities.

Implementation of technology is a priority at BBCHS. Computer labs compliment classrooms equipped with computers and our own school system. We continue to grow in this area and are staying current as possible in this ever-changing world of technology.

We are most proud of the extra-curricular opportunities that are provide for our students. We offer over 40 different teams, clubs and activities to our students. In addition, the Fine Arts department and theatre experience is second to none. We encourage our students to participate and become involved throughout their high school experience. These are the memories that last forever.

We are a large school with a small school atmosphere, and we are very proud of our students, school and staff. We are a school that was “Built on Tradition and Preparing for the Future.”

Sincerely,

William Gamble
Principal
