Announcements to be read during second period: Thursday, April 18th, 2013

All Students:

  • The library will be hosting our 16th Annual Coffee House tomorrow, April 19th during all lunch study halls. Please check in with your study hall teachers and then stop by to listen to some great music and enjoy a cup of coffee and a cookie! It’s FREE! Don’t forget… it’s National Library Week so stop in to checkout a book or two! (Mrs. Mills 4/19)
     
  • MUSIC Students who sold Butter Braids are REMINDED to pick up your order immediately after school today in the Choir Room C116. (C. King 4/18)
     
  • Did you know that there are a lot of songs that have the word "dream" in them?  If you were to write down five song titles - and the artists who sing those songs on a piece of paper and brought it to Room E201 today by 5th hour, your name will be put into a drawing to receive TWO FREE TICKETS to see this weekend's production of "Gossamer" in the BBCHS Auditorium!  So, get cracking, and get your entries in to Mr. Benoit NOW!  Gossamer opens tonight, and will play through this Saturday.  Show starts at 7PM.  BE THERE!  (S.   • Attention Music Students: Tri-M applications are DUE tomorrow, April 19th! Late applications will NOT be accepted. (C. King 4/19)
     
  • Do you dream of traveling to Europe? Don't waste your money on a plane ticket until you can fully appreciate all of the art and architecture you'll encounter! Art Appreciation is the perfect class to take for anyone who is interested in art and culture (especially those who plan to travel in the near or distant future!)   • Any students interested in taking Mythology this summer should sign up Soon! There are only three seats left!  Please pick up registration forms in SAO or the Counseling Office. (Dr. Limperis 4/19)
     
  • The Library will be closed before school this Friday because of Coffee House setup. Please make other arrangements for your before-school time on Friday. (M. Dorsam 4/18)
     
  • Do you think you purchased a 2013 yearbook, but can't remember for sure? A list is posted outside room W108 of students who have purchased a 2013 yearbook this year (as of 4/15/13). If you need to purchase a yearbook, you have about a week left to purchase this year's book. We will not order extra yearbooks, so order yours today!   • Prom tickets sales continue through Friday in the main lobby during all lunch hours. Ticket prices are $60 per ticket and include a 2-hour dinner and dessert buffet. All sales are CASH ONLY! You must have your ID to purchase tickets. (M. Zylka 4/18)
     
  • Students bringing out of district dates for Prom will have additional days to purchase prom tickets. Date requests for Prom are due in SAO by Friday, April 19th.  Students with approved date requests will be able to purchase prom tickets on Monday, April 22nd and Thursday, April 25th.  Ticket sales for Monday, April 22nd will be held in Room W112 and Thursday, April 25th in SAO. Seniors:

  • Attention Seniors: Just a reminder – At your Senior Meeting on April 30th, you MUST list all scholarships and/or merit award money that has been offered to you from ANY school whether you are attending that school or not.  PLEASE do not put down any Pell, Map or FAFSA money.   • If you won a Senior Most Likely award – please check the spelling of your name on the Student Council board in the main lobby. Any spelling changes are due to Mrs. Bretzlaff by tomorrow, April 18th!  Pictures will be taken on Thursday, April 25th in W108 at 10am, 10:30am, 11am, 12pm or 12:30pm. (J. Tingley 4/19)

  • Art Honor Society:  Sign up to work at our art booth for the Sequels Spring Market on Saturday, April 27th. This is a great opportunity to develop your art business and marketing skills (and have a lot of fun!) Sign up outside Room W108 if you'd like to help. Bring your Memory Project portrait to work on at the booth, if you wish. (K. Bretzlaff 4/22)
     
  • BBCHS SADD:  Attention SADD members!  Please stop by Mrs. Lynch’s Room NN109 sometime in the next week for information regarding our end-of-the-year events!  It is very important that she sees each of you. See you soon! (L. Lynch 4/19)
     
  • REMINDER Key Clubbers: We will have a 10minute meeting after school today in Room NN106 to sign up for volunteer opportunities coming up! (G. Kizior 4/18)

  • 2013 Costa Rica Travelers: There will be a mandatory informational parent and student meeting on Thursday, May 2nd at 7pm in Room S201 discussing details for our trip this June. Please inform your parents and plan ahead. This is not school sponsored. (K. DiGiorgio 4/22)
     
  • For all students STILL interested in signing up for the 2014 Mediterranean Coast Trip, hurry before we run out of spots! You have an opportunity to experience 4 countries on this tour of Southern Europe.
