The Best High Schools in America, Ranked US News.com
April 20, 2016 – For the second consecutive year, Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School was recently awarded a Bronze recognition by US News “Best High Schools in America Rankings,” again placing the school in the top 25% of all public high schools in the country.
“BBCHS continues to be a place where innovative programming creates an environment where students thrive,” said Superintendent, Dr. Scott Wakeley. “The implementations of an evidence-based grading system and multi-tier system of support (MTSS) have made us a leader among high schools in Illinois, equipping our students to perform well academically.”
The Bronze ranking puts BBCHS among the best high schools in the country in key areas of academic performance, including college readiness. The recognition comes in addition to other awards presented to the school this year. In December, BBCHS posted a record 55 Illinois State Scholars: students who rank in the top 10% of all students in Illinois based on ACT score and academic rigor. Recently, the school was also awarded the 2016 Daily Journal Progress Award for Excellence in Education, an honor reserved for schools that demonstrate initiative and commitment to the community.
“The accolades evidence the progressive approach to education we take at BBCHS,” noted District 301 School Board President, Hollis Clark. “I applaud our students and staff on earning such an impressive distinction.”
SUMMER ACADEMICS PROGRAM Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School is proud once again to offer the summer academic program called "A Step Ahead" to help students reach their educational goals.
